The Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007, also known as FileFormatConverters.exe was updated yesterday to include SP2 - time to update your script. I do not if any of the hotfixes are also included in the new version. :rolleyes:

true. this time they have in deed updated this file. i'm unsure about the detections for this one so please, be patient. just in case, the old ones are those:

ok, here goes an test: can anyone running the enu version of this tool check for those registry keys?

[DetectionRegistry]
RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\90120000-0020-0416-0000-0000000FF1CE
KeyName=ModifyPath
KeyValue=MsiExec.exe /X{90120000-0020-0416-0000-0000000FF1CE}

RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{90120000-0020-0416-0000-0000000FF1CE}
KeyName=ModifyPath
KeyValue=MsiExec.exe /X{90120000-0020-0416-0000-0000000FF1CE}

RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\00002109020061400000000000F01FEC
KeyName=PackageCode
KeyValue=C6C556C113C5EA1D44E811756809DEC3D9

[DetectionFile]
FilePath=progfiles:\Microsoft Office\Office12
FileName=MOC.exe
FileVersion=>12.0.6500.5000
FileMD5=
FileDate=ANY

the machine that i've tried didn't had Wow6432Node, so i did an guess. but still, that machine was running an localized version and sometimes the detections aren't the same than the enu version. so please...

For your info: a test done here: http://siginetsoftwa...hp?t=668&page=2 indicates the new compatibility pack when installed includes the four hotfixes previously required - check the posting for the numbers. :rolleyes:

Hope this helps.

none of those kbs are for office 2k3. so still, the issue about the detection is in there. i can't be sure about the detections for this one because i'm running an localized version. my enu vm is down and due that, i can't be sure about the detection. if i can't be sure, the best thing to do is wait to someone confirm or not the detection (right now, i don't have free time to rebuild my enu vm)

The folks here: http://siginetsoftwa...hp?t=668&page=2 have verified that the new FileFormatConverters.exe (also known as: Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 w/SP2) is all that is needed as it includes SP2 and all hotfixes (office2007-kb973704-fullfile-x86-glb.exe, office2007-kb972581-fullfile-x86-glb.exe, office2007-kb969618-fullfile-x86-glb.exe, and office2007-kb969613-fullfile-x86-glb.exe); therefore the APUP update script should be changed to reflect this information. The listing should be changed from: Microsoft Office Compatability Pack 2007 - Critical Updates to: Microsoft Office Compatability Pack 2007 w/SP2

These same folks did list all these hotfixes as required when a user is running the Office Integrator and is in then process of creating a new Office 2003 CD. (That's why I've listed them.) <_<
