XP SP2 & Windows update mismatch

Hi All!!
Im new to autopatcher and im just doing some testing before I start using it...
there seems to be a miss match?... I've updated Autopatcher and install the patches.. but windows is still saying theres another 67 odd patches to install... even tho autopatcher (after a reboot) says theres 3!!?!?
I have created a clean install of windowz xp pro, sp2. ran the windows update but only downloaded the three programs first... rebooted then ran the autopatcher...
thats all I have done...

AutoPatcher For Windows XP is geared towards SP3, and most of the updates may have a SP3 only requirement meaning, the .apm file looks for
SP3 only and wont load if another SP level is found. I can't go through every update in the release but I did notice a few things...
Your list has KB954155 - it is in the release and has both a SP2 and SP3 flag so this one should load and install.
KB952069 is also on the list, if you look at the requirement (WindowsVersion=XP_SP3_X86), this update wont display in your setup. This is the
problem you will continue to have. It is quite possible that some of the updates will install in both a SP2 and SP3 system but SP3 is what AP
supports so a SP2 flag wasn't added. It is also true that some updates flagged for SP3 are only SP3 updates.
Since I don't maintain the XP SP3 script I can't answer for sure that there are updates in the SP3 release that also would install in a SP2 system,
you would have to follow the link in the .apm to the update and check for yourself. Is there a good reason you haven't installed SP3, it is a good
service pack?
You can open the .apm files in any text editor, notepad etc. If you know for sure an update will install, add the information to the .apm, but the release
will be Unofficial and during the next update by APUP the .apm file will be deleted and replaced. Don't expect much support, I'm simply letting you know
you can do this.
Also, I'm not sure the reason for the oncd.txt file, a better way to know you have an authentic complete release is to state whether or not the release
is Official - it displays when AutoPatcher loads. If there are issues post a log file - run the "hit_this" file and then post a log in the appropriate forum
- use spoiler - see help. You may want to read More On Log Files.
I don't think you did anything wrong, you are simply running the wrong service pack, btw, you didn't say how many updates show in your system for
installation? Also, check the Addons section (in the forums), there are a few more packs you may need, NetFramework, Directx, Extras etc. The
Autorun.inf, blacklist, and run.ico are part of an autorun setup yeah?
