You said it, every time there is an update there is a new problem. It's almost as if the programmers never check their work and test there scripts before they release them. But that's just my opinion.

It's not the release maintainers fault, it's M$.
M$ often change/remove/superceed updates without publishing details - and if they don't know the the release maintainers can't fix it.

Once they see your post, I'm sure they'll get straight onto sorting it.

Patience, please.

why the users just don't report the issue? why certain users has to give an "i never will do that, but yours should do that better"? i don't run an english OS, i don't have any use for an autopatcher in english, i'm just updating this release because anyone else wanna do that. that's enough? if there's an issue, please report than i will be glad to fix, but please, don't talk about an thing that you don't have an clue about. just to give yours an idea, i have 2 jobs and 0 free time. right now, i should be in vacations, but i can take some vacations from only one of my jobs. do yours wanna more? oh, yes, tomorrow is my birthday and i probably will be working too. so please, do yours wanna do the job? great. just do better and do not vanish after a couple of months

I'm also getting the same error, it keeps telling me to retry updating and to contact if problem persists. I can't even use IE or download any individual updates from microsoft at all. I've attached the log.

your problem isn't related to apup, your problem is related to some malware that toke over your system and hijacked the hosts file. please, do an full check with an up-to-date anti-virus software in your machine.

it's possible that those 3 files was updated, but i can't check from here. but it's also possible another thing: Non-Unicode Default: Arabic - Syria. apup has issues with non english Non-Unicode. please try change that to english

@Night Knight

If the language for your OS is the issue - See the APUP FAQ.

Scroll down to the question -> Q: I have my computer set to display a Far Eastern language on-screen and APUP doesn't work.

The answer applies to Arabic/Hebrew/Thai -- or any other Complex Script language as well - which is addressed in the next question from the FAQ.

checked. the issue isn't in the download or the md5 from the files. the issue is related to Non-Unicode Default:
