really want the autopatcher to work with windows 7 (there are many patches already), so I can help

For a system that has P4 2.6 and win7 ultimate, it shows this

Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1.7600)
Architecture: type X86
SM_MEDIACENTER

detects correctly
but got to say the "SM_MEDIACENTER" is weird...

there is one thing I want to ask
so far all the windows autopatcher supports, including server, are x86 only
as for the win7 now, both x86 and x64 are popular (since it is an "in between" time)
so I suppose when you add win7 support, you will have both x86 and x64 version available?

the answer for that is at post #6 and #7. right now, we aren't running an x64 SO. that may change in the future or an user can volunteer to do an x64 version

you mean in order to make the autopatcher supports the x64 win7, you need to do it in a x64 window?
also, by doing so, the x64 win7 will be just one of the item in the whole list, or will it need to be a separate x64 version of autopatcher?
sorry for the question, not sure how it works

probably we should simply do a little test about that))
yes, right now Autopatcher's executable file - is a 32-bit process.
And if it will be run on a 64-bit machine of course it will be a so-called '32*' process in a TaskManager...
But in general it should work in any case...

so - test, test and again - test we need))

I know abut the '32*' process in a TaskManager when running x86 program on x64 window
so we don't need a special x64 version of autopatcher for x64 win7's patches?

well, part of your question was answered by antony. so... but the issue isn't just do autopatcher run under an x64 system (right now, it runs without any problem). the issue is develop an script for x64. that can be done without run the OS, but it's a little bit more tricky. also, right now we are just a few updating the scripts...

to detect x64 versions there is no need.
because my code which was able to detect x86 versions - will do for 10000% the same for x64...

so we can close this test and I will update aupitacher's code now and soon
we will introduce new version of tool on our forum ;)
