done. booth xp extras enu and the xp ptb script was updated to match with this reloaded (?) version of flash players, to avoid those from being downloaded over and over. i can't check the detections from here, nor sign the modules, nothing. so, tonight the extras enu will be checked and signed, with the removal of booth wga modules to be downloaded from the main xp enu script and the localized wga related will be set to load only into xp enu. the extras enu script shall be signed, because the job required is far more easy than the other ones. as for the ptb script, it is lacking the updates from this month. so, this one will remain unsigned until be updated. i'm unsure about my free time today, so i can't promise that it will be done today.

Got the unofficial for XP Sp3 when I ran apup today. It was fine before that.

Do I have to start all over again with all updates?

@JRosenfeld: yes, you have downloaded all the updates. kb890830 was updated to v3.5 and, as usual, the old download link has become useless. to fix a lot of complains about "wrong download", i've updated the script from my job, but i don't have the required files to sign in there. worst: i was supposed to fix that a few hours ago, but after check a dozen of things, i've realized that my old internet provider has lost all data related to my payment and just have blocked my connection. so, no worries, those that don't wish keep clients and don't even bother about say "hey, do you have paid our tax?" doesn't deserve me as client and i've moved to another one. but now is too late and i have to go to my girlfriend home. so, i will be able to fix this issue just by tomorrow

another issue: if you update the extras script, the same thing will happen, because adobe did an update in booth flash players and the script was updated, but no signed due lack of files required to do that

sorry for the trouble

yes, they are.

they are the same ones that are in the extras enu script, but there's certain things in the extras enu that doesn't work in ptb, so...

@IceCubeR: the issue isn't fixed yet. i have an appointment right now, but i will fix the links in about 2 hours. issue: the script will become unofficial (but they already are, due those files)

Oh, I see - you have to let AP scan first and then use the About. Otherwise, the Release Info button
won't appear. I never tried the About after scanning.

Ran Apup again with XP SP3 and extras checked. All now reports true, except for Autopatcher itself?

no. this means that all the files from the releases are like should be, but you may have an rogue file as well. so please, can you take an recursive md5 from your autopatcher folder (hksfv can do that) to help us track this issue?

thanks

@FDIV-Bug

First the praise :), thank you for providing a screenshot of the Release Info window, this will usually reveal what the issue is
(99% of the time) when there are multiple packages in the same \modules folder as is the case with you. It looks as if XP_Ptb is
not complete - Use the provided .md5 file -> md5_checksum_for_AutoPatcher_PTB.md5 and run it against the release to see
what it reveals. The .md5 you provided wont help in this case.

When a release is missing files or files are incomplete the provided .md5 will point this out. Also, run APUP again, making sure XP Ptb
is selected to see if this fixes the problem - please report.

What you can do a little better next time is provide an accurate log file, the one you provided can't be the same log that works with
the screenshot - the log shows too many issues, missing autopatcher.exe and .rti, missing files from \bin, on and on, you could't run
AutoPatcher if autopatcher.exe was missing so, always run APUP a few times to see if any missing files get downloaded, this also makes
the log file significantly smaller and easier to read.

Please read Log Files - everything applies the only difference being we use Spoiler now as you know.

BTW, JRosenfeld's issue was different (post 28), in this case all the releases were True (complete) but an Unofficial warning was present,
this means extra files somewhere, this is when the user provides there own .md5 so a comparison can be made, your release is incomplete,
in this case use the supplied .md5 and always run APUP a few more times to try and get the missing / incomplete file(s).

Thanks, I just want to help. :D

Just like you said, i used the md5_checksum_for_AutoPatcher_PTB.md5 and it showed that i have a missing module

Attached File  AutoPatcher038.png   54.75K   8 downloads

I ran the apup again, but it not solved the problem.

Spoiler

I'll download everything again and see if this solve the issue.
Thanks again for the support!

Cool, no problems. :)

OK, I'm a little confused by the .md5 file you ran, why is it looking for 890830 v3.4, that is last months file, this months is 890830 v3.5
and you can see a mention of it in your previous post - the .md5 listed in the first spoiler code - here it is...
Spoiler
The new script is also deleting the old file seen here, the same file your .md5 is looking for...
Spoiler

Finally, your log shows -> Files to be Downloaded: 0 -> I'm really puzzled.

The only thing I know to do is see if by chance you have 2 files in \modules\Critical\KB890830_files\
...windows-kb890830-v3.4.exe <- if this file is present manually delete it.
...windows-kb890830-v3.5.exe

If you do have 2 files present, delete -> windows-kb890830-v3.4.exe, and then fire up AutoPatcher and see what happens, otherwise
we'll have to wait until Cristiano views the post - the release may also not be signed but I doubt it.

(JMO) :) I do think the delete command should be changed to...

Nope, i just have one inside that folder. The v3.5.

Thanks for the support, one more time!

sorry for my delay, but i'm taking the weekend to relax and drive away from any kind of computer. i us to take just saturday or sunday, according to the climate (let's say that i don't like drive an bike when it's raining). today, i've already did that, but i only will fix that issue by tomorrow

Ran apup again today after reading your post above, with XP sp3, extras, directX and .NET checked.

Still getting unofficial for autopatcher itseld (as pic in post 28), but all packs show true.

I also tried deleing all the md5 files (autopatcher XP, DirectX and Extras) and letting apup redownload those again, but that made no difference.

my friend, as we already told you, when every single release is official, but autopatcher still shows as unofficial, then the reason for it is an rogue file/folder in some place. to fix that, we need that you download an recursive md5 tool, like hksfv, install it and then right-click the folder where apup is and choose "create md5". then please, attach it into an post or host it in an free host that you like. without that, we have no way to track that rogue file and remove it

by the way: the scripts check for new files. so, if there's an new file, an new one will be downloaded. you don't need remove it

thanks

@JRosenfeld

If all the releases are showing True (complete) you still have an extra (stray) file or files somewhere, you need to find it. For
kicks see if you have both 890830 v3.4 and v3.5 in \modules\Critical\KB890830_files\ - if so delete v3.4.

The pic in #28 shows Office XP and Adobe Reader, since I don't have those I can't help you with the problem, but you will want to scan
the whole package and create an .md5 so somebody can assemble the same release and run your .md5 against it, this should cause the
missing file to get flagged - it is present in your release but will be missing from the known good release.

Here's a tip I recommend for those of you who have multiple releases like this in one \modules folder - please follow these instructions
and it will make finding strays very easy...

Note: Make sure the release is Official, and all files are present prior to creating the Before .md5 :) ... now,

Prior to updating the multiple releases always scan and create a Before .md5 against the release, run APUP and update the release as
you see fit. Once the release(s) has been updated, rescan and create an After .md5. If you have issues like the one here, by using any
comparison tool such as WinMerge (a differencing / merging tool) a comparison of the 2 .md5 files can be ran and the difference (change)
will be very easy to determine. BTW, WinMerge is freeware.

You're probably saying, "of course there will be changes, I just updated" - and those changes will stand out, but so will the stray files.

Here's an example.

The Before .md5 will have only (1) KB890830 file in the folder - v3.4, you update the release and the new file v3.5 is downloaded but the
script has a flaw and v3.4 doesn't get removed. When both .md5 files are ran through WinMerge the difference between these folders will
get flagged.
