I was wondering if it would be possible to force start a disabled service with a batch file .. It seems that autopatcher won't install updates correctly unless the "Windows Update" service is set to manual/automatic.. i tryed using reg keys to change the startup values but it doesn't work the way i want it to :( system doesn't reread the regkey till restart i think. just wanted a way to automate alot of the work

You may want to have a look Here! - Black Viper is real familiar with OS services and their tweakage. Posting may require registration. :)
