Vista SP2 Issue

_def_x_'s Photo _def_x_ 27 Mar 2010

OK, let me see if I can keep everything straight with the latest Vista SP2 update.

I updated yesterday and Vista was True but Unofficial, I began to search, I couldn't find the problem so I checked the AutoPatcher log,
this is what I saw...

Spoiler
This \.svn folder was hidden - here it is - removing the folder made the release Official.

I also found these problems that need fixing...

There are 2 files in \KB973917_vista_x86.apm_files -> Windows6.0-KB973917-v2-x86.msu and Windows6.0-KB973917-x86.msu
...the second file should be deleted but can't because the folder is wrong in the delete command,

-> PreAction.FileDelete=autopatcher:\modules\Critical\KB971557_2k8_x86.apm_files\Windows6.0-KB973917-x86.msu

This is correct -> PreAction.FileDelete=autopatcher:\modules\Critical\KB973917_vista_x86.apm_files\Windows6.0-KB973917-x86.msu

...I also noticed this while looking at the module -> KB973917_vista_x86.apm

-> [Installation]
-> "Module:\WWindows6.0-KB973917-v2-x86.msu" /quiet /norestart

There might be other issues but my head was hurting so I stopped looking :)

No worries here, I just thought you would want to know.

Just curious, the \.svn folder - is this 'Subversion' version-control software?

All is good - nice job :)

Yep! SVN help me to remember all changes (past time, I update ITA releases, Vista release, Office 2007 release and Seven (x86 and x64) releases. It's not possible to remember all!).
