Sorry to hear you are having troubles with AutoPatcher, if as you have stated, you are having many problems, I would suggest
you quit using the software.
You offer zero information in your post that would allow for a helpful diagnosis of what has happened to your system, but outside
the registry tweaks, for the most part AutoPatcher is only a GUI (graphical user interface) that allows for a silent install w/ the
ability to suppress a reboot until all the selected updates have been installed.
If you chose to followup, please explain what updates you have installed, how you installed them, and how exactly this has caused
problems for your system. If you are going to make a claim like yours, that's fine, but pleases offer details so somebody can offer
BTW, your idea of backing up or restoring is a good one, AutoPatcher does not have that feature therefore it is YOUR responsibility
to backup your system.

About an hour after I posted someone emailed me and asked if I had read the response from the OP, so I came here, read it,
and at first I felt bad, maybe I had been rude. Well, hold on just a minute, apparently this person has a reputation for this kind
of nonsense. I was emailed again, with a few interesting links. I was amazed at what I read - can you say 'pattern of behavior'!
First, read Here! the review this person gave AutoPatcher on Nov. 22, 2009
Broke 'Search', 'Dangerous', 'No Support'. Is this clown for real, I have 700+ posts, maybe 30 are asking for help, the rest offering
it. This is the same for everyone here, all we do is offer support. BTW, this was the same day the OP registered at AutoPatcher.
Interestingly, Cristiano did offer help, of course he was a bit miffed because of the OP's choice of words, read the exchange Here!
Also, the OP started a thread at cnet about a malware, virus issue - twice. Hmm, I find it interesting the problem was related to
'system restore'. The OP has had multiple issues with malware/viruses, yet decides to come here again and blame AutoPatcher
for the problem of a failed 'system restore' instead of his own inability to keep his machine clean. You can see for yourself by
reading Here!. Notice post #3 - "The last time this happened". The latest was less than 2 months ago.
This user has chronic issues with technical things and regularly blasts tech support, software developers, HP, etc and never points
any fingers his way - IT guy, yeah sure. If you read the OP's many posts/reviews at cnet, it seems the OP has all sorts of issues with
all things tech, and for some unknown reason always calls names - here's an example. Notice: Stupid, Idiots, Devious, and Fake.
or opinions. This is regarding the OP's review of Firefox 3.5.7 and FBackup 4.4 - follow the links if interested
