ok i'm using apup great prog btw but when i'm 'fetching' files it goes through a few then freezes after its done most notably so far visio2002-KB931280 it states Fetched 5.24 MB / 5.24 MB (100%) 48 Kb/s -- 0:00:00 remaining
and i've so far d/l the file 3 times w/ the same result (server error?)
weird thing I noticed the file size differs one time 5.24 another 5.32 but the same file name???

That file should be around 5.32MB.
Try running apup.exe with the /log parameter to generate a log and then post it here so we can figure out what's wrong.
i.e "C:\Program Files\AutoPatcher\apup.exe" /log in the Run box.

Remember to pick only the update for Office XP (2002) so that the log won't be too long to read...

sh1leshk4 is right but what you can do is to run a find and search for "!!" (minus the "") If you find anything with !!, this means an error was found which you should post it here.

Well I finally got through most of the stuff by quiting and restarting the program a multitude of times
but maybe a good idea would be to make a log every time the program was ran bc then i'd already have the data but alas it worked so i'm happy

though i kept getting an error about files not matching proceed at my own risk..?

You need to download just the top list by itself once and see if it works after that.

I get the same problem. apup hangs after a successful download at random points. The log showed nothing useful. If i exit and restart apup it gets a bit further each time.

I'm having the same problem and from other posts, it appears to be a known bug. I grep'd the download link lines from the appropriate autopatcher script to a file and replaced DownloadFrom= with wget. Then I renamed as a bat file and let wget download all the files. The files downloaded without any problems. Now I just need to grep the DownloadTo info to script moving the files to the appropriate module location. Then I can rerun apup to verify md5 sums.
