AutoPatcher is missing some programs.

When installed, the program - Visual J# .NET Redistributable 1.1 creates the subfolder: \Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\VJSharp.

When installed, the program - Visual J# Redistributable 2.0 SE creates the subfolder: \Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 Redistributable Package - SE

I have no idea what these two Visual J# redistributables really do but as they do install themselves in the locations listed I would assume they perform a necessary function for Dot Net Framework and should be a part of AutoPatcher and listed at: Microsoft Windows - Updated Components > .NET Framework

no. they require .net to work. take a look:
The Microsoft® Visual J#™ .NET version 1.1 Redistributable Package includes everything you need to run your Visual J# .NET applications on a computer that already has the Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 installed

The Microsoft Visual J#™ Redistributable Package version 2.0 includes everything you need to run your Visual J# applications on a computer that already has the Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 installed

OK - so that's what they do.

Are they not similar to Office Viewers, Visual Basic runtimes, etc and should they not be included in AutoPatcher?

no. the office viewers are related to ms office and aim those that doesn't wish have the whole office suite to view/print something. personally, open office and similar suites does the same job for free. vb runtimes are required to run vb-based softwares (like apup/autopatcher). the flash players are required to have an full web experience (but given time, flash player will belong to the oblivion, due the features that the new browsers have). the same thing happens to java. for the .net, even some hardware devices require it (like the original drivers for vga cards from AMD/ATI).

by other hand, The Microsoft® Visual J#™ .NET aren't required to install any hardware device (at least, i didn't found any that requires it so far), improve web experience, improve security, etc.

despite all that, an module for those could be done, for specific situations, but not for general usage
