A new PowerPoint Viewer was released yestersday 05/05/10 - it's compatible with Office 2010 so I would guess it could be called PowerPoint 2010 Viewer. <_<

ok. just one problem: the only one link that i've found was for the 2007 version. if the viewer for 2010 is around, there's no point in add the 2007 versions. do you have the link for the page where is it? at ms download center, i only see the 2007 versions, sorry :(

So far I've only seen the two 2010 Viewers - I'll be checking every day and will post a comment when/if new ones appear.

Remember, the Viewers are all inclusive so when the script is updated it should say Office Viewers - no requirement to have Office 2003 Viewers and/or Office 2007 Viewrers and/or office 2010 Viewers - one and only one Office Viewers. :P

Microsoft is very close to releasing Office 2010 final - so my guess is all of the Viewers will be out before the final or at the same time; including a Compatibility Pack if one is required. :lol:

ok. i think that i may have an proper detection for those. i've installed each one into an machine where there's no office version running and this is the result:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{3BB19A2B-B9C5-3872-8FDF-3047CC9F9841}
DisplayName=Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x86)
DisplayVersion=10.0.30319
MsiExec.exe /X{3BB19A2B-B9C5-3872-8FDF-3047CC9F9841}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{95140000-0052-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}
DisplayName=Microsoft Visio Viewer 2010
DisplayVersion=14.0.4763.1000
MsiExec.exe /X{95140000-0052-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{95140000-00AF-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}
DisplayName=Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer
DisplayVersion=14.0.4763.1000
MsiExec.exe /X{95140000-00AF-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}

this was installed into an ptb version of windows xp. i'm not so sure if the detection will match, but if someone can check it..

also, vstor40_x86.exe required .net 3.5. if i'm not mistaken, that also means that office 2010 viewers will require that as well

also, i did an search for word and excel 2010 viewers and i didn't found any version for this one. they wasn't released yet, right?

ModifyPath: MsiExec.exe /X{96D33319-C14C-3070-A464-CE8416E46487}

My version is 'newer' than yours. I downloaded it on 07 May 2010 and size is 2,743,640 :P

The two Viewers are the same here. No other viewers were spotted by me. :)

Forgot to mention, I have Office 2003 Pro w/SP3 installed in XP Pro w/SP3.

oh crap... i really hate when this happens... i've downloaded that Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x86) from here (vstor40_x86.exe md5=0846C7C5E85E421095F9B188E52079F1)yesterday. i've downloaded again today and it's the same file. i will try download that file again, from another location. if the issue remains, then i will try an way to keep booth detections or at least to not check for the version. God knows how many versions ms has released so far or even if they wish keep an version for each country in the world

well, thanks again

another location tested, with the download made minutes before install. the result: 10.0.30319. but oh well, the registry key isn't even the same for 10.0.30322 and 10.0.30319. an double detection is possible, if an file detection is present. so, let's see... at:
%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0\Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x86)
do you have vstor40_x86.MSI ? the md5 that i'm getting for this file is 39072FC6BB181F60B351C9D65CA1E58C. doesn't really matter if the md5 for booth don't math

thanks

I have an .EXE file, not .MSI. :P

The MD5 is: 3AF60FABA456C153041B8EB9A3362B5E

Just checked, same location in \Common Files\Microsoft Shared

More info, the .EXE is at: http://www.microsoft...aa-ce96aa5cbc36

great... but no problem. doesn't really matter if the file detection matches, if at least one registry detection match and only is possible add 2 registry detections if at least one file detection is present

the funny thing is that the md5 that i get from the link that you have pointed is the same one that i already have :blink: :mellow: :huh:

well, i will ask to someone in another country check that file too

thanks

I realize the Visio Viewer has (beta) in the name in the registry, above, but the download from Microsoft did not say beta. :o

a few updates that ms has released has the same issue about beta description in the registry. i don't remember each one right now, but there's a few with that lack of update. also, i remember that there's at least one update that in the registry has "your description" or something else instead the info that should be in there. but right now, only the x32 updates will be added. the x64 will have his own script, but in order to do that, i need find some time to that and this is being a problem right now, sorry :(
