How long are you waiting before exiting?
I've noticed this too that apup sometimes takes a while before it continues. Wait a while and be patient and see what happens.

About wait...
I played a game of DotA online for 45min with apup showing the above screen but nothing stuck there. Guess this much time is enough...

I updated XP SP3 and so did my friends who I help with AutoPatcher - no issues. You say 7 is fine and that XP is the problem,
what are the differences within these 2 releases - location, permissions? When did this start?
When was the last time your XP release was Official, is it now? The latest should be June 16, 2010.
As I'm writing this I PMed 2 people and asked them to run APUP and try and update XP SP3 - no issues, and I did the same, no
issues. Rarely but occasionally there might be a server hiccup or script issue but it doesn't seem to be the case now.
There is usually a brief pause when a release is complete, APUP still needs to run the 'routines' and when things are done APUP
will try and delete the temp_bin folder but if Windows Explorer is open to the AutoPatcher directory this can cause a momentary
glitch - kind of like when you try and delete a file that is open, closing Windows Explorer usually fixes things, if temp_bin got left
behind deleting this folder works.
It is possible there's is a known bug in APUP that I don't know about, I don't use the app anymore but I do try and stay informed
for my friends who I help and they have said they have not noticed or are aware of a bug that demonstrates itself like this.

Been running Autopatcher for quite a while. As I am multibooting XP Pro w/SP3, XP Pro x64 w/SP2, Win7 32-bit, and Win7 64-bit I have one, repeat ONE AutoPatcher folder into which everything is downloaded for all operating systems. (When I start APUP I just check all items pertaining to the four OS's.)
This setup works just fine for APUP and downloads and for AutoPatcher when run from within any of OS's. The various APM files detect the operating system in use and, while there are a couple of glitches I'm trying to resolve, for the most part AutoPatcher works just fine.

Hi, I have issue download the update too. anyone can help please....

your issue seems related to an issue regarding the download of those files:
Download Error: C:\apup addon -
Copy\apup\modules\AddOns\flashplayer_notIE_files\install_flash_player.exe
File size does NOT match. Expecting 2568656, but found 760848!!!
Download Error: C:\apup addon -
Copy\apup\modules\AddOns\flashplayer_IE_files\install_flash_player_10_active_x.e
xe
it may be an temporary issue with the download location or with your dns. i've just did an download test of those 2 files and they match. if is an temporary issue, then it will be fixed by himself. if not, then you may have to manually download those files to check if you are reaching the download location as you should. right now, those are the data required for that:
Item=install_flash_player.exe
DetectFile=autopatcher:\modules\AddOns\flashplayer_notIE_files\install_flash_player.exe
DetectHash=6E23EADBA1E84F43E5D28053A8BA27A9
DownloadFrom=http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
DownloadTo=autopatcher:\modules\AddOns\flashplayer_notIE_files\install_flash_player.exe
ExpectedSize=2568656
ExpectedHash=6E23EADBA1E84F43E5D28053A8BA27A9
Item=install_flash_player_active_x.exe
DetectFile=autopatcher:\modules\AddOns\flashplayer_IE_files\install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe

ExpectedSize=2605008
ExpectedHash=9B9089FE6CB9690BAA4B8297DB004083
if you download and save to the proper folders, with the expected size and hash, then the script will not try to download it again. also, if is an temporary issue, running the same script again after a few hours shall also solve the issue
anyway, next time please do not attach in pdf format. the log is plain text and it can be Copied and Pasted without any trouble
