Incremental update

Hi, I am new to Autoupdate. I have successfully (I think) downloaded 1.31GB worth of stuff using apup.exe & was wondering how do I incrementally add new MS updates? Do I just run apup.exe & it will know what to add or do I have to re-download everything fresh? Thanks.

If the releases are Official you're good to go. If in AutoPatcher (autopatcher.exe) the display is Official for all releases this is good - if it displays 'Unofficial / Unsupported...' in RED, check for the problem package by looking at the 'Release Info'. Click 'About' - click 'Release Info', the package that shows 'False' is the package you need to get fixed.
The hard part is done - the main downloads. You might say you're in the 'maintenance' phase. No you don't need to redownload as long as you keep your existing AutoPatcher / APUP package in good working order => Official. You will do the updating to the releases by using APUP (apup.exe) and the updates to your system will be installed using AutoPatcher (autopatcher.exe) - they are not the same.
You will want to keep updated by looking at the forums for the releases you have and the big day is 'Patch Tuesday' - the second Tuesday of every month Microsoft releases updates. Also, there are fixes that are done when needed to the releases and you will want to catch them as well. A good rule is to run APUP regularly on each release, maybe twice a month or as soon as you see a mention of something being fixed.
