First time user.

I downloaded AP for Win XP.Saved to hard drive, unzipped,created ISO view & burned to CD.

When I ran it on my PC, I got "error fetching release list"

Could you explain where I went wrong please ?

cd media us to be "read only". when apup reaches internet (if not, the user gets the same error than you got), the releases.list file and also several other files that are required are downloaded and stored into an temp folder, that has to be created. if that action is impossible (aka running from an read-only media), then the user gets the same error than if apup is unable to reach internet. there's one solution: select everything that is in your cd and copy it into an hd or flash drive. then, run apup from that hd or flash
