Handling different languages

1) Interface language.
2) Windows XP is released in separate issues for dozens of languages (and the service packs are language specific too), can Autopatcher be used for any of the entire set of those releases?
I saw warnings in the FAQ about using Autopatcher with the wrong language, so I need to make sure.
Which _type_ of language support does Autopatcher have?
Is the language support exclusively relevant for _interface_ language? If so then I'm good; I prefer English as interface language. Or does it also mean that Autopatcher will service _patching_ only for the supported interface languages?
I'm looking for ability to patch dutch version of Windows XP, and english version of Windows XP. If I need to translate an interface (using the translator pack), then please notify me.

yes and no. autopatcher.exe can handle all languages, but for the updates, it isn't true. ok, vista and seven works for all languages, but xp and 2k don't.
> Which _type_ of language support does Autopatcher have?
the .exe himself, all lcids
> Or does it also mean that Autopatcher will service _patching_ only for the supported interface languages?
the language in the interface doesn't matter, only the target language in the updates. just as an sample, you can run the interface in english and yet update another language. but keep in mind that only vista and seven are for all languages
> If I need to translate an interface
autopatcher had support tor dutch once. i don't know if the interface runs in english or not. i never tried the software to translate the interface, so i can't promise anything about this, but that isn't required in order to work. if you have the updates, then you have to edit the apm files and the script only

[...] only vista and seven are for all languages [...]
If I understand correctly it was fortunate for Autopatcher that starting with Vista Microsoft has shifted to generic patch files for all the languages they support. As I understand it, in the case of 2k/xp for different languages the filenames/scripts are correspondingly different.
If I understand correctly: Autopatcher for XP can update for a few languages (If I recall correctly: enu ptg ptb ita).

that's correct. they finally realized that the interface is one thing and the inners are another thing and that they could save a lot of time and money by doing in this way

just because those languages have an release manager working on it, but the same could happen with all languages, all that is required is someone with time and good will
