Just ran APUP then started AutoPatcher - the List of available items ended with a check mark in the box for Stand Alone. Meaning what? I know it's supposed to be the Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.3.3 but it does not say so.

Obviously something is missing somewhere - I'm just not sure where. :(

There is a detection issue with Adobe which is why it's not loading, but I think it is figured out - see this post!

BTW, Stand Alone is a new category, like Critical, etc. I do think a 'Description' should be added to explain the category.

Hmm, how did you get in here before me Cristiano :)

good catch. i didn't noticed that. problem: all the adobe reader scripts has this file. so, all them have to be edited to fix this. i hope to be able to fix this issue in a few days.

by the way, any ideas to that description?

Anything else other than Adobe going in Stand Alone, if not I would use Adobe's own words:

Adobe Reader 9 - Easily view, print, and collaborate on PDF files with the free Adobe Reader.

Otherwise a good description would depend on what software will be located in Stand Alone :)

well, the original idea for that was include a few extra software, like 7zip. issue: the latest stable version for 7zip is 4.65 (2009-02-03) and the current version is 9.15 (2010-06-20). also, the idea was provide to users to develop their own modules an place to put them, allowing checks for unofficial, etc (of course, personal modules turn into unofficial, but if the personal module is out of the main folders, is more easy to figure it). java should be in there too, but this one is in another place since long, long ago...

OK, some brainstorming...

Stand Alone:

...In the Stand Alone category, you can find third party software titles such as Adobe Reader, 7-Zip, Java(JRE), maybe even a user created AddOn.

I added the .exe to the file as indicated in the post - made no difference; and I tried in XP Pro w/SP3, XP Pro x64 w/SP2, Win7 32-bit, and Win7 64-bit. B)
