File verification problem

I've just tried without errors. It seems a download error... please, can you try these instructions?

Thank you very much for your post!

I did not have folders by those names but there were 2 files each with extensions .apm and apm_files which I deleted and re-ran apup2.

This time it did not throw up any errors and the resulting log file is below. I guess it must have concluded successfully :-)

Each update (.exe) should have one folder where the update is located -> 'xxx_xxx.apm_files', and 1 apm file -> 'xxx_xxx.apm', a simple text file that contains the details about the update including it's location, this is the file AutoPatcher uses to install the update on your system. You mention you had something titled 'apm_files', this should have been a folder, in XP mine are yellowish in color, the .apm was the simple text file, should have used an icon representative of your default text editor.

If everything downloaded without error and the release is Official you should be good to go!

Some of the script files that use both x64 and x86 store the two exe files in the same dir .NET for example. So you would end up with 2 apm files that point to the same directory with 2 updates in it.

However we will be testing a new way soon. Storing all DOTNET x64's under a dir called DOTNETx64 or something simple that will denote the script and cpu architecture with no extra directories under it. Each update does not require its own directory. Click_Click is working on that. There will be a batch file(or script) that will transfer the old dir structure to the new one.

The OP's issue was with XP x86, this is what I was addressing, didn't want to confuse the issue. As seen with the .NET release, there's good reason to have separate scripts, the 1 folder/2 apm files is OK.

oops sorry thats my bad. I was cleaning up the servers directories moving older stuff into backup locations. I must have moved the wrong file. The _windows_extras_20110607.7z should download now.

On a separate note, I tried Apup2 this morning, and I had it down to one error, [Java jre7 update3, which I fixed manually], but I accidentally installed apup into apup2 while downloading. Will that screw up my update files files? Delete apup? Thanks in advance.
