XP SP3/ Win7 x86 Update Failure

Hello there!
I'm having the same issue as someone reported on Sept. 19 (http://www.autopatch...for-xp-sp3-x86/) but for both XP and win7 update lists. Everything else downloads fine, except the actual updates.

I noticed this yesterday, and so far I have experienced this from both work and home computers :(

this webpage instead the script us to happen when the file isn't present or is broken at our servers. i've re-uploaded the script just in case, but you are reaching an old releases.list file. how i know that? easy: english/win_xp/autopatcher_xp_sp3_enu_20100924.script. you log states Date & Time: 05-Oct-2010 17:48 UTC Offset: -5 and the link for the script file is http://www.autopatch...0100929.script. so, may be just an idea, but you are behind an webcache and you may not be aware of it. this kind of issue should be fixed by the admin of your network, by correcting the most basic thing about an proxy: the minimum size of the cached files. when this happen, the network admin has set the minimum size for the cached files too low. as the releases.list file has about 7K, i bet that this cache doesn't have set an minimum file and is caching everything. but it is easily fixable from the user side: just reach http://www.autopatch...m/releases.list with our browser and reload it a few times. this us to force the proxy to download an new version. issue: if the proxy was too badly done, this doesn't work at all

and yes, this can happen in more than one location when the ISP is the same

Thank you for the quick reply.
That seemed to do the trick for me at home here, but I'll also try at work since their connection is much faster and has no usage limits. This one caught me off guard though, never seen something like this happen before, but then again it makes sense looking back; I switched ISPs not long ago and this one happens to be a reseller of the larger one that my workplace uses.

While I am here, I'd like to say thank you to both you and the entire autopatcher team/community. Your app has been extremely useful to me back when I used to be on dial-up, and still continues to be very handy even now (All of my computers use either windows XP or windows 7, I tried to dabble a bit with WSUS and windows server for rolling out updates to multiple computers on my network, but that was very annoying for the purposes of a small network). I am impressed and greatly appreciate your hard work and dedication to keeping Autopatcher alive! :D

Hi Guys,

I have been trying to search forum for my problem as I am afraid of asking the old issue, but I have no clues because I am not IT guy.

My problem: I use Win7 ultimate, all things seem fine from downloading updates, install updates and reboot... BUT ALL updates not apply at all. I read this post but don't understand, could you please help. (Do i need to upload any more files for more information? I just attach the updates list after many failed tries.)

Thank you very much.
