I just write my opinion. What's wrong with that? Who is offended?
OK, we're all adults true so I'll give you my opinion. In fact, no one is offended or you would likely be ignored. It is more how
you ask for help, after all you are asking for another person's time, asking in a nice friendly manner sure helps. Your posts have a very demanding ring to them - "I expect" will cause many posters to ignore you.
And please, do not ask me for configuration...
A bad system configuration can be responsible for many problems, expect to provide this information almost everywhere you ask for technical help - get used to it
I expect answers from people who has experience with that problem...
Then I would suggest calling Microsoft directly - may cost money but you will get help from people with experience, or contact the manufacturer of your computer. This is not an AutoPatcher issue directly.
Log files are extremely important, just because you may not understand them there are people who do - do you think programmers add code to create log files for nothing?
The apup.log and autopatcher.log files are used regularly to resolve issues. Also, the kbxxxxxx.log file has important details about the install process that's used to troubleshoot problems as well. The hijackthis.log is a good example of a log file few people understand but the few that do use it to rid systems of nasty stuff that otherwise would be impossible to locate, not to mention the time it saves.
I understand gathering this information can be annoying but logs help with troubleshooting regardless if you believe they have any value or not. Point being, unless you know otherwise it is a good idea to provide what ever someone is asking for otherwise fix the problem yourself - this is the response you might get at forums where certified pc techs hang out - the guys who get paid to fix computer problems.
