Hi.
How do I uninstall a package from AutoPatcher... I didn't install it into windows... just downloaded it via Apup & decided I didn't need it... want to get rid of it to save space. Removing it from the Apup update list didn't remove it from Autopatcher & right clicking it in the Autopatcher list doesn't seem to show any commands for this.

you are talking about package, as kbxxxxxx or package as in adobe reader package, extras, etc? if the issue is related to the first case, then all that you have to do is right click and then select uninstall. if you are talking about remove adobe reader, extras or another script, that only can be done by hand. to do that, you are required to inform with one you wish to remove

I still can't figure out why the most important detail is left out of so many first posts - the what or who of the question - if it isn't an important question then don't ask it, if it is - be specific so we don't have to drag it out of you.

You will need to get all the files removed, a stray will make the release Unofficial, a small release with few files (Reader, DirectX) should be easy to remove, a larger release (Extras, Office, Vista) you will need to pay attention. Just remember to run APUP after you delete anything, select the Releases you still have, update them and make sure the package is Official.

As an example, DirectX (in \components) is pretty easy to remove, 3 files and 1 folder (w/ the executable)...
-> md5_checksum_for_DirectX_Addon_Pack.md5, directx.rti, directx.apm, \directx_files

How about DotNet Framework (in \components), 3 files and 1 main folder (w/ subfolders)...
-> md5_checksum_for_DotNet_Addon_Pack.md5, dotnet.rti, __dotnet.apm, \__dotnet

The .md5 files (if the release has one) and the .rti files are located in the root folder - \apup.
