Hi, I know that it has been asked before but it appears not to have been fully answered. I have downloaded apupdater and unzipped it to my cd drive. I have then run the apudate and downloaded the two default engine files and also the x86 sp3 patches. All is downloaded fine, but where on earth is the apupdater.exe program. It is not anywhwere to be found. I have checked my entire c drive. Others have the same problem. Any thoughts.

Apup.exe is used to check for and download updates. Autopatcher.exe is used to install updates. Auto patcher updater just checks that you have the latest version of apup and if not it updates it for you, it is not a separate .exe.

If you don't have autopatcher.exe, run apup.exe again and make sure that Autopatcher updater and Autopatcher engine are checked, as well as any of the update sets you want.

What do you mean when you say you unziped to your CD drive? Do you mean you burned the files onto a CD?

Hi mikec

JRosenfeld pretty much summed it up but I will offer a bit more...

Extract apupxxx.zip and run APUP (apup.exe) locally from (C:\apup as an example) first to create (or update) a release - then 'move' or 'copy' to flash, CD, DVD media. Make sure it's an Official release. :)

If you're having problems running AutoPatcher (autopatcher.exe) or updating from the above mentioned locations (flash, CD, DVD) 'move' or 'copy' the release to 'C:\' (any local hard drive, not external) of the system you want to update (the Microsoft patches), then run AutoPatcher.
