After updating the Autopatcher Windows 7 x86 folder on my computer .. and then running Autopatcher to see if the release was still official, I noticed Windows Update Agent v7.4.7600.229 (x64) was listed in there under Updated Components. The release is official. I was just surprised to see the x64 update in there . I just thought it might be worth mentioning.

the package that contains this update has both versions, so it is extracted to an single folder. the modules can be in any place, if under [Behavior] you set the folder for it, like: ModuleFolder=windowsupdateagent30_files, that is set for WindowsUpdateAgent_x64.apm

No kidding, I saw that as well and I did the update and backup the new image. But if you do a windows update it doesn't mention or tell you of the update. I do have it for both x86 and x64 O/S but the X86 was updated only x64 was the first for me to see that as well.

normal. wu us to be out of sync with ms download center. very often, wu offers the old version of rootcerts when a new version is released as well. but what worst than you download the update, run it and as soon you go online (after the reboots), wu offers all them again... at seven x64, 5 of the 8 updates of this month was installed all again by wu after run all the updates manually. but what worst than the issue that happens with the language packs for .net at wu? of course, the english users will not see it, but to the other users, wu will offer an language pack that will not work, because another update has already superseeded the original one that the language pack should be applied to. that other update has his own language pack, but wu doesn't know that and offers only the old one (that doesn't work anymore)
