[Nucks]

I have the exact problem listed in the FAQs stickied but the resolution to change usernames doesn't work for me (My username is all letters with no space and the same thing is shown when i use the 'computer management tool' via admin tools.

I have used autopatcher flawlessly in the past but now nothing seems to install. I am currently using Windows 7 64bit
I have around 10 patches installed from the last time I used it on my win7 OS but now nothing happens.

I have tried deleting the folder and redownloading all the patch files, closing my firewall (Privatefirewall) to no avail.

I've also attached the log to apupdater in case it helps in any way.
What should I try next?

What kinda firewall is that?? Why didn't you just use the Windows firewall instead and see if the download works better? Without knowing what firewall your using makes it hard to know what is blocking or stopping the download. I think if you can't download it would be related to your firewall and or firewall settings.

Thanks for your reply.
It's just some generic barebones firewall that was recommended by quite a few people on another firewall forum.

When I deleted the entire folder, the updater was able to download the files correctly (at least to my knowledge) and when i booted up the patcher itself it recognized that some of the patches were updated and some were unapplied. The issue is when I try to apply the patches, nothing appears to happen.

I have finally figured it out. It seems painfully obvious now.
I went to the individual patch files and tried to run it and i got an error code "0x80070422" and a google turned results that mentioned double checking services.
I went back to services and found the problem--I have "windows update" disabled. I've always disabled this in the past for all of my OSes (and this one too, I believe) and have never had a problem but I'm happy this has resolved the issue. Enabling has allowed my autopatcher to patch normally again.

I decided to post results in case anyone ever runs into this problem in the future.
