Hello,

When I run the apop program on Windows 7, I can go past the selection window and the "Fetching selected releases" window appears.

Then very quickly I get an "Application Error" popup, telling me:

"Permission denied in prjUpdater.mldShellExecuteCommand at line 116."

I can only click on the OK button here. When I do this, the same popup appears one more time again.
After clicking OK button again, the download seems to proceed as usual.

Any idea what is the problem? Although this seems to be harmless, how serious is this 'Application Error'?

Thank you.

Rob.

Make sure to run APUP (apup.exe) with 'Admin' rights and don't let UAC, DEP, Windows firewall, or any security software (AV etc) interfere with APUP (or curl.exe).

If you run apup.exe /log (or run hit_this...cmd), does it (apup.log) show Files to be Downloaded: 0, when you fire up AutoPatcher is the release Official?

If the download is finishing and the release is Official, this is good but, you may have issues with your system letting AutoPatcher (autopatcher.exe) do it's job as well and the same applies here - run with 'Admin' rights. It looks like a bit more work was needed for Windows 7 but I doubt it will happen at this point.

A screenshot of the situation is here:

http://skku.homeip.n...utoPatcher2.jpg

Note that I opened the log file AFTER the eror-pop-ups appeared,
so the text in the log file is from AFTER the pop-ups.
For both times this pop-up appears, I click on OK.

There seems to be no clue in the log file about this error-popup!?!

Then a while later I get a "Verification Failed" pop-up.
I click on OK here to continue.

The log file of the whole process is here:

http://skku.homeip.net/apup.log

Any ideas?
Rob.

Same here this week in Uk - but on Windows XP. Next run failed to fetch the script...showing the empty selections screen - seemingly autopatcher.com was down. It was not. Both problems were fixed by restarting my local Dns service.

Now who would have guessed that?

The problem was specific to autopatcher. ibm and rest of world seem to be ok:
