Hi folks.
I just downloaded the updater apup131. I found that there was a validation error that caused the updater to stop towards the end, and then looking at the log file there are many errors of the kind below: and there are also missing file errors:

Detection error for file C:\apps\apup131\apup\modules\wga\KB892130_wga_xp_x86.apm
MD5 Hashes do NOT match. Expecting F2B2B65904A86CF01C102D95DC93B519, but found 0bce6762473da624d23b29fba0b39f1e!!!
Item WGA updates is missing or its parts are not completely downloaded. Adding whole download for this item to the queue.

Note that in this case, I am downloading a lot of releases at the one time, xp, win7 and office etc. This is because i have a number of machines i want to patch with different systems. Can I ask is there likely to be any major problems when trying to download more than one OS release at the same time, even different language ones? If that is not a problem, then I can post the log file and maybe someone can see what the issue is...

I have not posted the log here as it is quite long and contains many releases. but I can do if you require.... let me know.

Mat.

Hi Mat - welcome.

It sounds like you choked APUP while downloading too many scripts at once. Try fewer scripts, download, add one more, download.

You may have issues regardless depending on what scripts you put in one folder - some scripts haven't been updated in a while and may be Unofficial.

I hope your not trying to download the 7 'pre' and 'post' service pack 1 scripts, this will create a loop of delete and re-download. Plus, you don't want to risk trying to install updates that don't apply to 7 SP1 - or vise versa.

Btw, thanks for not posting that log. Please read Log Files - Creating & Log Files - Reference before posting a log.

You will have to experiment with your particular mixture of OSes and languages, frankly I have no experience with this. I use either English or All releases. Maybe a user who has done this will offer their experience :)
