Anyways despite the lack of help im making progress in the script department. I can now detect most recent OS's(2000 and up) with a definition file. Yaye!!! Future expansion possible without the need of a programmer. Another definition file for detecting the environment is almost done. I can load the silly thing but, im working out the bugs in running the detections and storing/retrieving values.
Anyways I will attach the files at the end of the post. I will also include a small help file on how to read the environment definition file called detection.txt.

Instead I am going to combine APUP2 and Autopatcher into one program as it should be. YAYE! Soon as I finish this script detection code(well I was done but, then I decided it wouldn't work with autopatcher so I am redoing a bit of it) I will convert autopatcher VB code to c++ then combine the two codes into one nice program.

Please comment on this if you wish. If you want something in here... NOW is the time to speak up while im working on it.
also:
see where it says "|IE|KeyValue1|==8" I realize its a bit hard to understand and im still not completely satisfied with the way detection works... because who knows what keyvalue1 is? I only know because I can look it up. It might change sometime soon. I understand that might make you think "then whats the point of changing the apms now to the new system if we have to change it again later?" however we need to start consolidating the apms now at our leisure to avoid a long wait later. Plus changing the detection is relatively minor work.

Well I looked into it but, I don't notice anything wrong right off the bat. Anyone else having this problem?
also... What is your dpi set at Penn Boy? Mine is at 96.
To Find out:
1) Right click on your desktop then hit properties.
2) Click on the settings tab
3) Hit the button that says advanced. a new window will pop up.
4) In that new window you should be in the general tab. There is a box that says dpi size. post it.
