I downloaded AP, ran the updater to get all the XP files, then burned everything to CD. When I put the CD in the laptop I'm trying to update, autoplay spins it up and opens a Window showing the contents. After 3-4 seconds, the window's contents vanish and will not refresh to see the AP files. If I go into Windows Explorer after this has happened, it will not refresh either. If I pop out the CD and try again, the process repeats - the files are briefly visible, then vanish.

I've never seen anything like this so I wanted to post here before I tried anything else.

Thanks in advance for any help.

this issue has nothing to do with autopatcher. seems more likely to be an issue in the burning process, like the cd quality, burner, burning speed, etc. you also can check if is an issue in your laptop by doing this: start menu, run, d:\autopatcher.exe (replace d by the letter attached to your cd driver)

Try a flash drive - my AutoPatcher folder is less than 2Gb in size.
