Hi,

I'm wondering what the current state of affairs with Autopatcher is, and how up-to-date Autopatcher releases are. I've used Autopatcher for more than 5 years and love its ability to download patches once and then distribute them to other machines.

In the past year of so I started noticing that not all patches were included and machines still required updating at Microsoft Update. This seems to be getting worse: I just updated my XP installation (80MB download), but Microsoft Update afterwards recommended 140MB of critical updates. I checked some of these patches and they were dated well before the release date of Autopatcher.

So on all machines I still need to connect to Microsoft Update, defeating an important purpose of Autopatcher. Am I possibly missing something?

Thanks,

Bernt

I've updated Windows XP release a few days ago.
Are there any issues?

Did you also download the .NET release package and the Office 2003 release package or did you only select the XP package?

Uhm... only one hotfix may have an issue... KB2536276 should be installed with XP release.
The others hotfixes isn't included in Windows XP release.

OK... I'll verify it...
