apup running but no feedback

Very strange thing, apup seems to run well but does not permit me any choice: there are NO displayed strings in the app.
Screenshot:

This is the log corresponding to the screenshot:
I blindly press the unnamed rightmost button, hmmm, this should be "do it".
apup.exe downloads all the .script files then AUTOMATICALLY begins to download an office2007 update. Exit pressed, I don't want it.
I'd like to attach the log but seems like that I have no permission. My first idea was to zip, base64encode and pasted here just because I'm bored,
but here is the log.
I repeat: no user intervention, just a BLIND click.
Versions: XP-ENU-SP2, autopatched in november, latest security updates; apup downloaded 45 minutes ago (17/01/08 04:00CET).
All activities monitored with ComodoFirewall and ProcessExplorer.
NOTE: Disabling custom (uxtheme) theming does NOT change this behaviour.
Thanks and goodbye

I run Comodo with apup, and the firewall part does not get in the way but th Defense+ portion does. To disable just that part, right-click on the icon in the dray (a shield with a checkmark on it) go to "Defence+ Security level" and click on disabled.
