Hi All

I have a Laptop at home, not connected to the internet, running Vista <_< .

My work PC (WinXP) is connected to the internet.

By running apup.exe from my XP box, I can download the updates for XP & 2000 / Office XP/2000/2003 etc.

There is no choice for Vista updates.... :( Is there a way one can overcome this?

Thanks in advance. :)

As of yet AP does not contain Vista updates.

Once I get my hands on SP1 on my test rig, I'll begin to work on the pack. This might take awhile but it will be out as soon as I'm finished ;)

As musch as I am opposed to it, people are beginning to adopt Vista in large numbers. Unless SP1 does miricles for the OS (doubtful) I will leave my triple-booted OSX-Ubuntu-Windows XP SP2 machine as it is, and I have no intention of installing Vista on any other machine. My guess is that this OS will turn out like Windows ME, and that Windows 7 (due out in a few years) will actually fix most of the problems in this version, just like 200 did for ME.

Thanks Guys,

I am not to worried about AP not supporting Vista at this stage.

I was thinking the same about Vista being the new ME.... ;)

Will keep a eye out for future delvelopments.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Considering Vista SP1 has just RTM'd, having a vista AutoPatcher package isn't exactly worth it right now... give it a few months.

Erik already said that he will start supporting Vista after SP1 is released to the public.

Can't wait!
Though I don't run vista on none of my pc's (4) I maintain and troubleshoot many. The main gripe is the lack of control on windows update, especially the fact that you cannot choose which updates you want and when.

If that's your major complaint you have it easy! Try to install games for clients with children, or install older (not latest version) software, or even open up Micrsoft .NET compiler of the latest version. They all run into UAC and incompatibility issues. If that update problem is your only one, be VERY thankful!
