Once I run Apup will that download EVERY update file for that OS, so then I can use that on every other PC here?

I ask as I have individually downloaded all Win 7 x64 updates once before and it was something like 2.4 GB's, the Apup downloaded only 290 or so MB's

I tried on a brand new install of Windows and it still only downloaded some 290 MB's

Is that all the updates? If so what were the 2.5 GB's of stuff I downloaded before?

EDIT: I have just installed Windows 7 (64bit) Home Premium on my laptop and when I check the normal way for updates it shows it ti be 139 updates at 463.9 MB's, so again bigger than the 290 Mb's the Apup tool found. Is this not working properly?

When I run AutoPatcher on another PC do I need to select all the updates, or only those that have not been applied to that PC? Or does it do that for me?

Thanks

The updates that are downloaded through apup are after the Service Pack for your OS is applied. The Service Pack itself is fairly large and not provided by us. If you were to install a SP on a new OS and then compare the updates from windows update service and through apup you will find they are nearly the same.

When you run apup the things you want to select are:
AutoPatcher Engine
<YOUR OS HERE>
.NET Framework Addon Pack (Get the right one for your OS type x64 or x86)
Adobe Reader XI <-- everyone needs this now a days.
Microsoft Security ENU Addon Pack

Optional:
Microsoft Redistributables <--- you will probably run across something that needs these

Also, Yes once the download is finished you can place the entire directory onto a dvd and go to each OS and update with it. IF you run autopatcher from a DVD/CD, MAKE SURE to pass in the /fast command so that it will skip md5 checks since they would probably take 14 minutes to do on a DVD/CD.
