Have multiple operating systems on one computer. If I go from XP Pro to XP Pro x64 to Win7 Ultimate 64bit I will have to re-signin as I switch between the operating sysetms and come here to see what's going on.
Seems that my sign-in information is lost/deleted/removed depending on which operating system I was in from the previous log-in. For example, if I'm in XP Pro, visit here, turn off the system, next day, come here, signing in is OK; but if I'm in XP Pro, sign in, then later reboot to XP Pro x64, sign in to check/post something, shut down, next day - boot to XP Pro, come here, I havbe to fill out the sign in box - the previous days info is lost.
Switching between operating systems seems to result in a loss of what?
If this is how it's supposed to work then that's ok and I'll live with it. If I'm doing something wrong then please explain corrective action.
If this does not make sense then say so and I'll try to clarify.
MInor problem with signing in

I understand what your saying and indeed it does seem your not to blame here. I might be wrong but, it seems to me that its a security check. Different OS = different signature... the cookies use signature based security to mark who you are. IF it changes then you are not you and you can't log in. Otherwise what is to stop someone from copying your cookie to there computer then loging into your account? Each time you login, I can see your last IP address in the admin screen. There is probably a copy of a cookie for each user in the servers DB to match against their login. If it don't match because you changed something(like OS) then it refuses auto login and you have to go the full way.
