First of all, let me say Autopatcher is awesome and I use it all the time.

Here are my feature requests followed by my reasoning:

1) Sub-compartmentalize the modules folder by OS or program type

i.e. Modules/Windows 7 x86 (Language/All Languages)
Modules/Windows 7 x64 (Language/All Languages)
Modules/Windows 7 [for updates that apply to both]
Modules/Adobe Reader
Modules/Microsoft Office 2007
Modules/OS Service Packs

Each morning I run apup (using a script) on many different folders containing separate autopatcher installations. I run them in sequence, because I used to get errors if I ran more than one program at a time (don't know if that's fixed because I did a workaround).

If the downloads were put in folders I could move them around as needed to minimize load times for the autopatcher program, which can load slowly from a flash drive - especially one plugged into a usb 1.0 port. I usually copy the appropriate folders to the machine individually and then run them individually (os and office, etc.) Alternately, before the modules were loaded you could choose which ones you wanted to load based on what was present on the system (OS, Office, Reader, Java 6 , Java 7, etc).

2) Service Pack Installation

If a Service Pack needs to be installed in order for Autopatcher to suggest updates, they could be placed in their own folder and run (in sequence, as needed) by autopatcher

3) Use more general and permanent "Release Names" in apup

My different apups with different settings will sometimes get boxes unchecked. This happens (I think) when someone changes the name of the option. Not a big deal, but until I notice it happened nothing gets updated. Perhaps the update number could be in a separate column or or something else could be done to make the checkbox selections permanent. The checkboxes have been cleared for Operating System updates in the past as the "Release Name" gets changed, etc. Or, the name could be more general in the INI it's using to get its settings from or whatever.

Thanks guys! This tool saves me a lot of time!

1) Yes this is coming in the next version of AP and to some degree we are already switching scripts over to this type of scheme. .NET for example is going to be split into 3 directories(thanks to click click) x64, x86, and both(downloads that effect both) :)

2) Its been thought about. Im not sure if we are going to do that but, its not ruled out.

3) Yes the current apup stores which download you selected by storing its user visible name. The new AP is still under construction and I will deal with that problem.
