Autopatcher for commercial use?

Calum's Photo Calum 26 Feb 2008

Just a quick question - does Autopatcher's license (or apup) allow it to be used commercially?
Not selling it, but for use in a business environment, i.e. for the purpose of updating a customer's PC?
I run a home computer repair company and was just wondering if that was actually legal or not, I haven't actually used it for this purpose but would like to.
Obviously I wouldn't just be using AP and then charging them for that, it would be part of PC building, using AP before going online to increase security.

Yes, as far as I know.

There was never any bother about it pre-shutdown :)

IMHO, i think that people using it professionally to save time should pay something to the Autopatcher project since they are making money out of it's use (time=money when you charge a hourly fee). It could be something symbolic (just to pay for the server and bandwidth), a monthly fee (since the apm updates do require man power...), a fixed value...

I would like to hear Antonis' opinion...

I don't charge an hourly fee, it depends on the job I'm doing as to how much I charge.
I would make a donation if I was able, however I can't use Paypal as I'm not 18 yet, unless there are other ways to donate?
I'd donate anyway if I could and when I actually have the cash to do so, it's a great project and I'm more than willing to support it however I can (I have already offered my server for use if a way to use it becomes feasible).
