When applying for a new account, i encountered one of the images as being like that taken in a picture. I entered inaccurate info for that individual "phrase" and was still accepted.
It appears that it may be Google's StreetView processing street numbers to verify a location.

There have problems in the near past of spambots hitting the site and this may have been employed to stop this activity.
It seems strange that incorrect info entered and accepted as I have been to many sites that use this software and inputting invalid info only resulted in changing to another to try again. It can been a pain in the a***e tring to read some of the data displayed and even more frustrating trying to read it.
Anyways welcome to the forum!

Good first post, neh? Thank you for the welcome.
PS: It IS a crock! I just wanted to mess with their processing, even if it was just one number. This was my first encounter with Captcha since reading the article & i had to try it. I enjoy keeping telemarketers on the line to screw their time up (they cannot bilk any pensioner's money whilst they're on the line with ME)!
