Hello,

I downloaded the new apup program 2 days ago and am trying to get the Vista post SP2 files.

Firstly, for some reason the Visual C+ box is pre ticked but I just untick that.

When I do the scan for Vista updates, I get the one or more files has failed verification message.

I have attached the log errors. I think this is the right way to get this information to you. If not, please chastise me and I will do it correctly.

Ps, if I get these errors can I still use autopatcher to update my vista installation or am I better off not doing it until there are no errors?

Regards,

Paul

@Paul - I see by your log that the operating system is Win 7 X64 and you are trying to download for Vista x86.
My bad misread your post ..sorry !!
Operating System: English (1033) Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Current Locale: English - Australia / Non-Unicode Default: English - Australia
Starting APUP From: C:\Users\Paul\Desktop\apup
Date & Time: 14-Apr-2012 16:13 UTC Offset: 8

The file causing the error is the Junk Email Filter for Vista and your system is downloading the latest which is for April, but the script for apup is for March 2012 and new script has not been uploaded yet....hopefully soon..

Anyways welcome to the forum

Hi Whatacrock,

Thank you for that :-)

That's right I am using W7 computer but need the Vista x86 files for when I reload Windows on my sisters laptop next week.

I'll wait for the new script to be uploaded.

Thanks again,

Paul

Well I see the detection error for the email filter but, it looks like it downloaded the proper one afterwords.

Then I see this:
Download Error: C:\Users\Paul\Desktop\apup\modules\NonCritical\KB905866_files\Windows6.0-KB905866-v55-x86.msu
File size does NOT match. Expecting 2367136, but found 1245!!!

See the complete size mismatch? Thats due to apup downloading an error page from the server instead of the actual download. Try it again and see if the error shows up again.
