WindowsUpdate Standalone Installer

I had to reinstall a vista x86 on a laptop today ,so use autopatcher so as not use up my dsl cap for the month and kept getting a pop up for WindowsUpdate Standalone installer. The Windows Update Stand-alone Installer uses the Windows Update Agent API to install update packages. Update packages have an .msu file name extension. The .msu file name extension is associated with the Windows Update Stand-alone Installer.

Searched apup and did not this update..the apm i looked was windowupdate agent,

It is for the switches but upon perusing the apm file I don't understand why it keeps popping periodically during update installs.Maybe someone knows the reason why
Cheers

After reinstalling another laptop and encountering with the same problem have after much searching and reading finally found an answer to the problem.
This being a driver installed for the laptop.
This driver being the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver. if the latest version is not installed then WUSA misbehaves and refuses to run.
After latest version installed the problem is no longer and no errors using Autopatcher.
A heaps up in case anyone else encounters the same issue.
Cheers
