Hi guys,

A couple of unrelated questions, which rather than ask about in separate sub-forums I thought I'd put in one post instead:

1) The latest .NET framework addons (4 in total) downloaded and installed fine, but the hotfixes for June - I'm assuming they're critical updates - as listed in the 'depot' section (i.e. KB890830 MRT, KB2709162, KB2685939 and KB2707511) did not. Or at least they don't appear on any of the expanded section lists running Autoupdater. The release date in Autopatcher for Windows XP SP3 (x86) says May 8th. If it's merely a case of waiting for the new script to be added/updated that's fine, I just want to make sure something hasn't gone wrong at my end.

2) I mistakenly ticked the box for Common Modules for download and got the failed verification error. Admittedly, I don't know what Common Modules is for let alone if I need it, though I nonetheless tried a few more reruns of Autopatcher as indicated with the same problem. There are no issues with any of the other releases I've downloaded so far.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Firstly welcome to the forums.

Question 1 - the .NET x86 and x64 releases have been updated in the latest script and we are still waiting for the other releases to be completed and uploaded, nothing is wrong at your end- a little patience is needed as it takes time to update the scripts and add new or replace old modules.

Question 2 - a failed verification usually occurs when Microsoft has either removed or updated the hotfix. The scripts for those will also be corrected and uploaded when complete

Just a note to say the release maintainers have lives outside of the box and they volunteer their spare time to the project

Hope this answers your questions
Cheers
B

Thank you, Whatacrock, for the reply.

I suspected as much for question 1, so no worries. As a follow-up to question 2, what would I benefit from installing the common modules release when the new/amended scripts have been uploaded (since I'm guessing they're more optional than critical to the OS)?

Cheers.

The common modules updates the Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830) and Windows Update Agent.

Indeed the project is not dead its just a bad month for us. I am still looking for a job and domenico... well I am not sure what his reasons are but, he does have a life outside of this place and he is welcome to it once in a while. He does a lot of work and needs a break once in a while.

The 'size=1245' means the link died, expect this every month around Patch Tuesday for these 2 files, maybe a few others - some files get updated regularly and there are no static links, the download will produce no file.

Flash player was updated last week, I posted the latest info Here! When Domenico finds time he will update Extras.

These are static links which is why a new file will download but the size and hash will fail, and the file will get deleted. Again, very common, and only when someone comes along who has not downloaded the latest file, tries, but gets an error will we know the file has once again been updated.

The download link stays the same but the file 'Size', 'Hash', and 'Version' will be updated in the script and apm file.

The latest Shockwave is a less common error, it looks as if something might have been fixed in the installer, not sure exactly, but the 'Size' and 'Hash' have changed, but not the 'Version' - as far as I can tell.

The updated info can be found Here! - as soon as I post my findings.

Just some FYI for those who care :)
