So - same batch file as previously - I'm asking because I ran releases2.bat and noticed that the dates for the downloads had not been changed from 11/12 Sep. (Would help in decision making if the dates could be changed as the updates were changed/posted - if that's possible.

Agree with you on the issue DesertJerry.....in future when changes are made will change the date for the release. Good thinking!!

Well the reason the dates don't change on my end is that it requires downloading the release2.list then editing it... then uploading it again. When I can just overwrite over the same file over and over again till it becomes official. I have to download the list each time instead of just updating the one I have because I don't know if someone(domenico) has edited(added or removed) it for his own use.

Nobody answered my question - do I still use the previously used Releases2.bat file?

Sorry DJ, yes use the releases2.bat for testing.

If you use the batch file for WAC you will get more... bug prone code... not because its his but, because he is constantly working with it. When his changes get closer to being stable they get put up to server.

An update for those testing this version of the script...will put link to my dropbox in the next couple of days as current alterations are nearly done and some further testing by myself so that everything is correct before I hand it over to ViroMan for upload to the server.

Waiting is no problem - today we have all been watching the skies for the Space Shuttle to appear on its way to Edwards AFB. Next stop LAX, then the Science Museum The end of an er an era for America in space.

After more testing and corrections I am happy to say that the release works well.
There is an additional directory entry titled Add Ons....this is the AddOns from the extras release that are specific to Windows XP.
This concludes additons to the release and from on will only need each month's Patch Tuesday updates.

Please use apup v1 for the downloads and as usual leave comments regarding errors.

Attached archive file contains batch file to run with APUP

Downloaded XP_Test.7z > extracted > ran XP_Test.bat > selcted file > Downloaded > Ran Autopatcher > WTF?

List of available items > Windows XP x86 > new sub-menu > Microsoft Windows XP Addons Specific to Operating System > NO submenu - nothing - I'm assuming something was supposed to be here????

Other items not changed - appeared as earlier.

The strange with this latest problem is that all my personal testing of the release works without a hitch....exceptions to that rule(MD5 mismatches)
Double checked the batch file...all is included and the apm files all match....so does the script entries.

A question to DesertJerry....can you check the Windows XP x86 directory ..look in Add Ons and see if the apms and Add Ons_files contains the executables..if so the detections may be off. There should be 13 apm files and 8 executable files. Some files are not available for download but for now have left the apms in place.

(Unable to test atm as need to install a Virtual Machine to house Win XP x86)

Same problem as DesertJerry - have checked the add ons - there are 13 APM files and 8 Executable files.

OK...believe I found the error so please try again.
An error in the main apm file....updated and uploaded.

Reran batch file - same results as previous - no submenu or listing of items

Checked Add Ons folder (Date Created/Modified shows 21 Sep 12 - yesterday - so that part did work) > 13 APM files (Date Modified 19 Sep 12, Date Created 21 Sep 12).

Checked Add Ons_files folder (Date Created/Modified 21 Sep 12) > 8 executables (7 programs one unmsjvm.exe)

Okay the apms and files are in their repective locations so will look into closer again on Wednesday morning (my local time) and see where the error(s) may be.
If a solution is not found by myself or anyone else then may drop that section entirely and leave in the Windows AddOns release but would like to keep in Windows XP x86 if at all possible.

Please report once tested as then the decision will be made....remember this is an experimental script and once the bugs are ironed out will make its way to the main release list
