After trying to download the latest incantation of this release dated 20120918 kept getting an error at the shockwave download. I am referring to Windows AddOns release(Extras Addon Pack)
It seems that the full installer download location is incorrect.

Spoiler

I know you are going to hate me for this bungle ViroMan...but I will take on the chin!!!

ahh.. forgot... no the URL for the full download is correct, its just that curl(the external program that apup currently uses) cant wrap its programming around that url and understand its a download not a directory. I am almost done with the changes to the newer apup and will release it soon... it can download that url properly.

copy paste that url

http://www.adobe.com...l_exe_installer

in your browser and it will download.

I'm having troubles downloading the Shockwave installer using APUP.

Spoiler

I can download the file manually, and it installs correctly on systems, so I know the file is good.

Also I've been having troubles with the stand_alone.apm file (see this thread...http://www.autopatch...ot-match-error/)

These are the direct links to the Slim & Full installers, if interested:

sw_lic_slim_installer.exe -:- http://fpdownload.ma...m_installer.exe
sw_lic_full_installer.exe -:- http://fpdownload.ma...l_installer.exe

Just curious, anyone know the advantages of going with 'full' over 'slim', what's the difference...?

When can we expect the scripts to be updated?

I am nearly done with the new apup(it is in testing with a select few). I will release sometime in the next few days. It will work with the current script.
until then I will change the script to work for the older apup.

@_def_x_ --was looking into the differences myself and came across this in the Adobe Community.

A SLIM version of Shockwave, which is the version Adobe installs by defualt, contains a limited number of units of functionality called “Xtras”. If a Shockwave application requires any Xtras not included in the SLIM version the plug-in will simply download them from the Adobe servers.

The FULL version on the other hand, contains a full complement of these "Xtras" which means the plug-in should never need to access the web for missing units.
