Hello,

I was wondering if the modules/scripts for AutoPatcher XP SP3 were going to be updated to reflect the patches for September and October as its dated 14 Aug 2012. Also it seems that Office 2007 SP3 component/module doesn't pull the latest updates for Office 2007 SP3 at all, it’s dated 13 Mar 2012. The other modules don't seem to get updated much as well, as going to Microsoft Update's site there have been patches for the .NET Framework and Visual C++ SP1. The .NET Framework is listed with a date of 16 Jun 2012 and 24 Aug 2012 for Visual C++ SP1. I was just wondering as I run apup at the end of the month or so to do a monthly patching of systems and use AutoPatcher to do it.

Thanks in advance for any updates that can be given.

We have a test script for the latest version of XP SP3 that WhatACrock has created. you can try it by going HERE. Its pretty much done and may be made official soon. There is only one tester... if you could help it would be appreciated.

Please tell us what updates are missing from Office 2007. To my knowledge they(MS) have not added any more updates since the last time we updated the script.

Yes, there is an update for .NET but, it is not a client update.. its an update on an update situation. Its a bit complicated to explain since I am tired at the moment. If click click wants to explain he can.(if he reads this). Suffice to say that since the latest .NET update is not a self contained client update but, rather an update to a previous update it is not getting added on until it is a client.

VC++ is as updated as it can possibly be as far as I know. I just added the latest updates for them last month. They do not put out updates for VC++ as often as the rest of there bug ridden stuff.

I'm not aware of any new .NET updates being offered by WU since the June Patch-Tuesday. dotNET 4.5 replaced 4.0 for VISTA and Win7 and that will be included in the future. I'd be interested in what KB update you are referring to. The dotNET being offered by APUP should be current.

Guys,

Running the latest AutoPatcher and for Office 2007 Updates when checking Microsoft's Website, AP is missing ALOT of updates:

Anyway the Office 2007 Script can be updated to pull ALL the Office 2007 Updates as AP only has the following patches:
Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB967642)
Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB2596596)
Security Update for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 (KB2596764)
Security Update for Microsoft Office System 2007 suites (KB2596785)
Security Update for Publisher 2007 (KB2596705)
and the Outlook 2007 Junk Mail Filter

Thanks in advance

sorry... no one has updated the office scripts in a while. I don't have it myself so I can't update detections for it. I can however add the updates to the script and create registry entries to tell AP it was installed.
