i need to know if and where i can get the patch for messenger live
i am running xp
any help would be great

need windows update agent 5.8.02469 or later

Bit confused about your question. When you say Windows update agent, are you refering to the agent to run Windows Update?

i am not sure what i need
i tried to load windows messenger live and it says i need windows update agent 5.8.02469 or later to install
i'm looking for the fix if there is one

You probably need to install Microsoft Update on your computer. Autopatcher does include this but just in case, try going to Windows Update on your computer. You should see the option to install "Microsoft Update" from the Windows Update page.

Give this a try and see what happens =)
