I could update the script with the newer files. Or were you expecting visio to be added to one of the other scripts?

Did find the following in Microsoft Office > Office 14 folder:
VISSHE.DLL (File version: 14.0.4756.1000; Description: Visio Shell Extension DLL)
VPREVIEW.EXE (File version: 14.0.6116.5000; Description: Microsoft Office Visio Viewer)
VVIEWDWG.DLL (File version: 14.0.6121.5000; Description: Microsoft Visio Viewer 2010)
VVIEWER.DLL (File version: 14.0.6131.5002; Description: Microsoft Visio Viewer)
Seems to me the above Visio Addons is not appicable when you go to \OfficeAddons\__msvisio_enu\ and open vis03temp_enu.apm - which is not listed in AutoPatcher and lists items for Visio 2003.

AutoPatcher > Microsoft Office Addons > Visio Addons > Text seearch in Visio Files; these two Visio items are black and I checked the ifilter_enu.apm:
[DetectionRegistry]
RegistryPath=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{905D0409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9}
KeyName=DisplayVersion
KeyValue=11.0.3401.5614
this HKLM key does not exist and since this:
[DetectionFile]
FilePath=
FileName=
FileVersion=
is empty I have no idea what is being detected.
Also, noticed that this: "vis03temp_enu.apm" was in the same folder as the above APM but it was not listed in AutoPatcher. Opening the APM it is looking for \Microsoft Office\VISIO11\ which does not exist on my system (Office 14). So, is this really necessary?
XP Pro x64 w/SP2 and Office 2010 Home and Student w/SP1
Same VISIO black as above - which is odd as XP_x64 is not in any of the APMs.
Win7 Ultimate 32bit and Office 2010 Professional w/SP1
AutoPatcher > Microsoft Office Addons > Visio Addons > No submenus and this item is black - why is it even here? Also, the APMs mentioned above do not include SEVEN as an operating system.
Checked locations, found \Microsoft Office\Office14\ - did not find any \Visio** submenu at all.
Win7 Ultimate 64bit and Office 2010 Professional w/SP1
Same VISIO results and comments as above. (This item should be removed.)

I need to add some kind of check for "no sub items then hide branch" function.

If you want, edit the apm files - 'ifilter_enu' & 'vis03temp_enu'. Then, test with AutoPatcher, including the log - any errors, messages? Both updates should be hidden. The category as well if the third tweak is tested...?
For 'text search', since this is more than an Office 2003 tweak, Windows Search as well, this should hide it.
...ifilter_enu.apm
from: Visio=ANY
to: Visio=<12 |or| Visio=11
...vis03temp_enu.apm
Visio=<13 - Erik must have determined these templates work with Visio 2007 (12) as well, otherwise use Visio=11 |or| Visio=<12.
Also, WindowsVersion=ANY |to| WindowsVersion=2K_SP4,XP,2K3,VISTA might tighten this up if the update seems too old for 7, 8, ...
To hide the Visio category on Windows 7, 8, until Visio updates are added...
...__msvisio_enu.apm
from: WindowsVersion=ANY
to: WindowsVersion=2K_SP4,XP,2K3,VISTA
I don't think an 'Depends' can be added to the Category because any dependency will be hidden below in the subcategory, as in the update. Target the Office Components... possibly,
Word=!12
Excel=!12
PowerPoint=!12
Outlook=!12
Publisher=!12
Visio=!12
Project=!12
OneNote=!12
FrontPage=!12
InfoPath=!12
Access=!12
SharePointDesigner=!12
Groove=!12
If this works correctly, the Visio Addons will only appear on systems compatible with Office up to 2007 (12), anything above (13+ installed) should hide the category. =<13 is an option, this is a bit more strict but might be more reliable IIRC.
I can't test, I don't have Office installed.

Office Online File Converters and Viewers
With the help of converters and viewers from Office Online, you can share your Microsoft Office files with people who have different versions of Office programs, or even with people who don't have Office installed.
Converters allow you to open files created by people using different versions of your Office programs.
Viewers provide a means for people who don't have Office programs to see your work. You can provide them with the appropriate viewer along with your Office files.

Download viewers, packs, etc
I mention all this because the one AutoPatcher listing for Visio Viewer is not adequate and is woefully out-of-date as is the above listing which does not include 2010 or 2012 viewers or compatibility packs. A decision is required to either remove the one item; Visio Viewer, or expand the available listings to include all of the latest viewers available from Microsoft.

If you open __msvisio_enu.apm and compare it to any of the other office items, i.e. __msword_enu.apm you will find a major difference.
Visio:
[OfficeComponents]
Word=ANY
Excel=ANY
PowerPoint=ANY
Outlook=ANY
Publisher=ANY
Visio=ANY
Project=ANY
OneNote=ANY
FrontPage=ANY
InfoPath=ANY
Access=ANY
SharePointDesigner=ANY
Groove=ANY
Word:
[OfficeComponents]
OfficeComparison=JUSTONE
Word=12,11,10
Excel=ANY
PowerPoint=ANY
Outlook=ANY
Publisher=ANY
Visio=ANY
Project=ANY
OneNote=ANY
FrontPage=ANY
InfoPath=ANY
Access=ANY
SharePointDesigner=ANY
Groove=AN
Notice the statement: OfficeComparison=JUSTONE and then a version afer Word=
These items are misisng from the __msvisio_enu.apm and that is why it is appearing when it should not.
Also, the various APMs starting with ___********.apm do not verify an installion of an Office function but an installation of an addon for an Office function; probably Office 2003 or earlier.
My guess here is that many items under \Office Addons are obsolete or have been superseded and should be eliminated or updated to match Office versions presently available, i.e. Office 365 or 2013
