I might create some sort of admin package to contain a few useful tools.

The following things could be in it(will add things as I think of them):
http://www.autopatch...age__pid__18493 <-- someone here really wants it. Posted Image
http://www.autopatch...lone-additions/
The TweakUI's for each window version they have.
http://technet.micro...s/bb896645.aspx <-- Procmon(process monitor)

Anyone else got anything that an admin would want? Looking for small tools to keep script download small.

Since you have process monitor in the list consideration could be given to the Sysinternals Suite as a whole..
Bundled up are many utilities which may (or not ) be useful

Am currently in the process of creating a script for Admin and so far this is what has been included :

The following five have been taken from Extras AddOn Pack: ActiveSync_x86_enu, CopyProfile_xp_x86_enu, NetworkMonitor_x64, NetworkMonitor_x86, and USMTool_x86_enu.
Yet to be included is TweakUI. After heaps of searching have also found TweakUI x64 (created by original author but never released officially by Microsoft) and also Ultimate Windows Tweaker, a Tweak UI for Windows 7 & Vista.

For this to be included will need someone to install and retrieve the detections for me as not running Windows Server 2008 or Win 7..-- Windows Management Framework 3.0: 32 and 64 bit versions.
Also looking in how to implement the SysInternals Suite but will make progress over the coming days.

If anyone has any other considerations please post and will see if worthwhile including...remember only smaller admin type utilities as we want to keep the script and directory small..

A late note...have edited the Extras AddOn Pack (NOT THE CURRENT RELEASE, will be a future release soon )... removed DelMSJava and moved it to Windows XP x86 MS Security section and MicrosoftUpdate to Windows XP Non Critical...also commented out Desksearch Updates(future removal from script)

While you are making all these changes would it be possible to remove Agent 2.0 Characters and Utilities form Microsoft Office Addons (which Agent is NOT a part of) and move it to a Windows location.

I ask for this because Agent is a default install in XP Pro and XP Pro x64 - it is not a part of Office and I have no idea as to why AutPatcher show it in the Office location; though I've mentioned this false location a long time ago - with no results

Also I have Win7 Ultimate 32 and 64 bit w/SP1 installed - so tell me what detections you are looking for as you make these changes and I'll see if I have the software already installed.

WAC and I have looked at agent 2.0, and all versions of Windows XP and Vista have it built into the OS. Windows 7 has it installed too but, demoted(and needs a hotfix to work right) and win 8 doesn't work with it. I really don't see a need for Agent to be in any script. It will be removed.

Fine with me - I don't use it - just mentioned it as being in the wrong location.

Update --- starting to take shape nicely, a few items to be added, serious testing to be done on my part then hopefuly by the middle or end week be available for those who wish to test it...

In creating this admin pack have taken items from the Windows AddOns Pack so have created an edited AddOns release which goes hand in hand with the Admin Pack....same deal as above

Win7 Ultimate 32bit w/SP1

Installed GIGATweaker > Started it > Error message: TTaskDialog requires themes to be enabled. (I have no idea what that means as I have NO themes installed; I use Classic Shell 3.6.5.) (Also, the readme says it works on Vista too.)

Checked all the options available to be changed by GIGATweaker to compare GIGATweaker's item selections to what I had already changed - noticed that GIGATweaker did not successfully detect and place check marks in the box(es) for those items I had already completed by other means. Do not know if GIGATweaker's detection routine looks in the same or different places for changes I had successfully completed prior to its installation.

I made no GIGATweaker selections though many looked very useful.

Work is currently in hiatus as many jobs to be completed before "Back To School" here in OZ.

I couldn't tell you how it detects, I only know that I used it on mine in the optimization area and it did speed up a tad.

Nice find DesertJerry ---- a tweaking application that works in Windows XP to Windows 8.. a far better solution than multiple tweaking programs to apup..
Will delve into this one and see what is possible to create for it..
