@DesertJerry -- instead of using a startup manager why not use a tool Microsoft includes in it's Operating Sytems namely "msconfig".
May not do as much as the startup manager but is useful enough for the job at hand....
I'm well aware of 'msconfig' and find it has too many options when compared to Startup Manager. Besides, Startup Manager only contains startup items, no possible user confusion with SYSTEM.INI, WIN.INI, BOOT.INI, etc and/or what does "Selective Startup" do and why use it.

The boot.ini,win.ini and system.ini do not need to edited in any way for the average user or even advanced users for that matter....The "Selective Startup" is exactly what its title suggests...enable or disable startup components for the operating system.....personally use this section if have a machine which has problems loading windows and disable offending programs from starting...

We can agree to disagree - I prefer Startup Manger to manage those items, beyond that I rarely if ever use msconfig.

It shouldn't matter if its a 32 bit program that manages start up stuff, I think. Start up things should be universal to any windows OS type XP and up.

edit:
So I looked into the x-setup pro and am fairly impressed with the number of things that can be done. This reminds me of Tweak UI but, with much more information on what does what. I noticed that it doesn't understand that some things don't affect win7 yet, still shows them though. Still, this defiantly could be a nice thing to add.
If you compare what is included in X-Setup Pro you'll find it contains many of the same tweaks in the recently re-added Registry Tweaks section; wiht X-Setup Pro having a more comprehensive explanation.

Just need to remember that the resurrected Tweaks section is for Win2K,WinXP and 2K3 all x86 Operating Systems only...the modules are as originally created, just cut the fat...

Has anyone tested these releases out ? Interested to find if any corrections need to be made..
Please report!!!

Post #8 says Agent will be removed.
Post #10 says Agent will be moved to Addons.
Just booted to XP Pro x64 w/SP2 > AutoPatcher
Windows Addons > Agent 2.0 Characters and Utilities is still being listed; submenu includes: Genie, Merlen, Peedy, and Robby
So, which is it supposded to be? Removal per #8 or move to #10 for XP Pro x64?

I think there has been crossed communications on the subject of the MS Agent Characters and Utilities....They were removed at your request from the Office Addons as you stated had nothing to do with OFFICE (actually they do but don't matter).
In case that any user wanted to utilise these I moved them to the AddOns (Extras) release.
If you look closely you will notice that Merlin is blue (already installed) in your Windows XP x64..

It is up to the community to state if they want these left in the Extras release or for them to be removed permanantly...Could make a poll on the subject but from past endeavours wouldn't get much input.
I will remove these from the AddOns if so desired.

I don't really care - it was ViroMan in #8 who said it would be removed from the script as it was a default installation.

As there appears to be very little input to the changes made, a decision has been made by myself and on the feedback from DesertJerry, to remove permanantly removed the MS Agent Characters and Utilities..

Just delete __msagent2.apm and __msgent2 folder, all should be good (No MSAgent).

Please note that the MS Agent is installed by your installation of the Operating System that is say from Windows XP to Windows 7..in order to utilize in Win 7 a hotfix needs to update the OS.

Have updated the experimental AddOns(Extras) script if anyone is interested.. download location is the same as originally posted.

Report any problems

A late note.-- Admin is in hiatus at the moment until I decide if anything else will be added.
Have thought about a few diagnostic tools such as cpu-z, gpu-z, etc.
Any idea will be considered(remember only small utilities)..please post !

Win7 Ultimate 64bit w/SP1 > AutoPatcher
Windows Admin > Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4 is blue - which is fine - but what happened to the other items that used to be part of Network Monitor; i.e. Network Monitor Parsers, Network Monitor Parsers for OCS, and Network Monitor Parsers for Office?
Just curious.

Your curosity DesertJerry got me too so here goes:

Network Monitor Parsers --- couldn't find but did find __windows_addons_parsers.apm.. this being the parent for the Network Monitors x86/x64 in AddOns (did away with the parent building the Admin Package)

The other 2 mentioned have no idea regarding them... actually didn't even know they existed in the scripts..

This is my findings so maybe you or someone else may shed some light on them

Memory tells me they were being listed for at least two years - disappeared less than three months ago; don't remember what changes resulted in their being removed.

This is WAC's show, so I will accept his unwillingness to proceed with this endeavor anymore. If someone else wishes to step up and continue it, they may PM me.
