So the new version of APUP and AP are on the test list(That would be releases2.list) for you eager testers. If your using the 1.4.2 and up you should have the ability to change the download URL in options. Just add a 2. For those of you who would like to use the newer version but, do not yet have one capable of changing URL so easy you must use a BAT file. It will be attached at the end of this post.

hmm... I will get it fixed in the morning.
I will have to version those files. They should be the same but, these are from the source code dir that I was given and may be older versions of the files.

XP Pro w/SP3
Started APUP 1.4.3 and checked boxes for 1.4.5 and 5.7.5 (noticed you posted they were APUP 1.4.5 and AP 1.5.7 - looks like a typo on your part. Also, when Autopatcher.exe itself is checked > Properties > Version shows 5.7.0.5 - only important to those of us trying to keep track of actual versions.
Started new AutoPatcher > top title bar: Unknown Unofficial Release > to me should be re-written: AutoPatcher v5.7.0.5 Testing Release.

Windows XP x86 - change to Microsoft Windows XP x86
submenu - change to Critical Updates
submenu - change to Non-Critical Update
submenu - chnage to Component Updates
submenu - change to Genuine Advantage
submenu - change to Security and move items from Stand Alone > Microsoft Security to this location - why multiple Security locations/listings?
NOTE: User knows he selected Microsoft Windows XP x86 so repeating the operating system's name here is superfluous.

submenu - change to .Net Framework 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 - to indicate what is actually included when the + is clicked and the new submenu is opened.

Windows Addons - been trying to think of a better name - submenus inlude Adobe, Java, and Microsoft so Addons, to me, is lacking as a descriptive phrase. Also, moving Adobe AIR and Reader to this location removes the need for StandAlone assuming Security items moved as noted above.

Bummer, AutoPatcher no longer runs on XP Pro w/SP2 (x86)
The script might be leaving some stuff behind, not sure what you're doing here exactly, may be deliberate. In \Tools there's 'Editor.7z' as well a folder - \apme56. The folder contains...

What AutoPatcher was trying to do It appears that the error occured while AutoPatcher was trying to initialize the form's screens. Where: frmMain.Form_Load() Error Code: 0x1AE: Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface

Strange def it runs in my XP pro w/sp3 although that is emulated through win7 Virtual PC.

It might have been the older support files I sent along with the last zip. I put the newer files back in and that could fix your problem.

DesertJerry.... there is no wga for Microsoft Windows SP2 x64 as you may be aware that it based on Windows 2003... we at least i believe to be the case... never found any updates or such to say otherwise.
Didn't do a MS Security section as I there is no need to create... however if you want one be my guest and create it yourself
As to changing from just stating Windows to Microsoft Windows .... little point as the project is primarily designed for updates from Microsoft.. nough said..
Please remember that the items in autopatcher are sorted by release date..

It can run, we tell you not to run it on SP's before the recommended because some of the patches require that SP lvl and may have undesired effects like screwing over your OS or just plain not installing. An example is you can use it to install other things like java or .NET or what have you. We just REALLY recommend you don't use it to install OS updates unless you 100% sure it won't screw up and you won't come crying to us saying we messed up your system.

Like WAC said... its sorted by release date. CC may have set it that way on purpose from some reason or it may be the actual release date. What ever the case... the way you see it is also the order in which it installs.

You're referring to the script, I'm referring to the software, different issues.
Btw, don't worry about figuring out why it crashes, I only mentioned it to make you aware.

It looks like they all have the same release date - 00001301.
Another way would be to add the date released, this would sort oldest release displays first - sorted by year...

ohh sorry. I did notice it when you first pointed it out and I silently corrected it. thanx. Also I duno why but, when I check what VB says about the version number its 5.7.5 but, doing properties on the exe gives 5.7.0.5 so I duno. If you check product version from windows vista(I assume its the same) and 7 it will say 5.7.0005

There are scripts available on the main release list for Office 2007, including service packs and addons.
As you may or may not be aware this project as a whole is maintained by volunteers who devoted some of their time to keep things up to date.. Currently there are only four members that maintain the releases so not all the releases get the attention that they need..each release takes time to update..

... and patching Office is much more time consuming due to the variations of Office a user can have installed. Erik had his hands full, not sure how the later maintainers faired - but Office is a lot of work, much more so than an OS release.

APUP 1.4.5 does not honor /LISTFILE:
It always gives you a blank screen and you have to select the list from options and then click get list.
Please put the command line option back in to avoid additional steps going through the GUI. Thanks ...
