New Autopatcher Columns Request
Posted 10 April 2013 - 02:09 PM
The reasoning is that when the description changes for a checked item it becomes unchecked when the script is updated. If the name stays the same and the updated information in a separate column is changed you probably wouldn't have to re-check the boxes. The options that are most effected by this are the most important, apup and autopatcher.
Here's an example with | representing columns
Release Name | Version | Language | Date | Size
APUP | 1.4.14 | English | NA | NA
AutoPatcher Engine | 5.7.31| English | NA | NA
Autopatcher for Windows XP SP3 (x86) | NA | English | NA | NA
When I run the script that runs apup /auto from my different autopatcher folders it will not update the items who's names have changed. The process still acts as though it completes but I usually have 5 versions of old apup and old autopatcher, because their descriptions have changed and they have become unchecked.
I'm manually running and checking boxes on all my little apups right now, so I'll be good again soon, but I'd love to see a solution to the unchecking boxes problem. Also, thanks for removing the 'get list' button, my apup /auto scripts will run again now :-) As I write this I see that there is actually a date column now... cool!
Love the program, thanks everybody!

For your convenience /auto will still exist and download/install anything that can be downloaded that is marked critical as long as its compatible with your current or chosen OS(you can target an OS type).
PS... if something gets broken... it would be nice to know it was broken.

I'm updatated to apup 1.4.14 and the /auto switch doesn't appear to be working. A click of the next button is required to continue with the md5 checks. Thanks viroman!
