I would like to download and burn Autopatcher for Windows 2000 to send to an elderly relative. He has a dial-up 28.8 KB, and the file is >200MB. I would like to know how to download the complete updates for his OS. I run Linux; would I need to do this process on my XP partition?
I am happy to find Autopatcher is alive and well.
Thank you for your help.

You will need to use Windows to compile the release.
- Download APUP ( http://www.autopatch...hp?showtopic=89 ) and extract it to an empty directory.
- Run APUP.exe and select the following:
- AutoPatcher Updater 1.0.4
- AutoPatcher Engine 5.6.81
- AutoPatcher for Windows 2000
- DirectX Addon Pack (Optional)
- Extras Addon Pack (Optional)
- AutoPatcher Updater 1.0.4
- Click Next
- Wait for APUP to finish downloading the files. If it gets interrupted, re-start APUP and try again.
- Burn the resulting directory to a CD (or DVD; depending on the size)
- Send him the CD and tell him to run AutoPatcher.exe

Couldn't have said it better myself. If you don't mind, I'm going to add this word-for-word to the FAQ later.
