Apup.exe works brilliantly from home, but thats the problem - I have dial-up, and with living in the middle of nowhere, its not likely to get updated to broadband anytime soon. At work, however, a nice fast connection but apup.exe is refused access for all the usual security reasons. So at the moment, I have been looking at the scripts and comparing them with the MS updates I already have, marking off the ones I don't have (the bigger ones, of course!) and downloading them at work by cutting/pasting the links from the scripts directly into IE, then creating the correct folders by hand back at home and moving the updates into them.
So far so time-consuming! Is there a way for apup.exe to be able to generate a 'report' after the intial analysis detailing the updates your installation does not have, and being able to save this report as something that the average browser could open up (as an example) which gives direct clickable links to the missing MS hotfixes from the scripts? Something like this would greatly benefit dial-up hostages like myself who have access to a security-paranoid faster connection, unless anyone has a better way?
