Request for standalone registry tweaks patch?
Hello

Hi, I have enjoyed using Autopatcher (XP, Eng) for quite some time and one of my favourite things about it has been the registry tweaks option. With SP3 having now been released, I find that while I may have less need for Autopatcher, I will come to miss those registry tweaks.
I don't really want to have to install AP each time simply just to use the registry options so I'm wondering if the production team involved might be able to release a standalone registry tweaks patch that takes care of all of those wonderful changes in one easy go? While there may be other XP registry patches out there, none I've seen appear to be anywhere near as thorough or useful.
I shouldn't imagine it would involve too much extra work as the necessary code should, of course, already have been written.
Anyhow, thanks for the many years of work and the hundreds of hours saved and I look forward to what the future holds for this project.

You could create a self-extracting archive that contains only the regestry tweaks. When extracted, it could be build to run AP from the commandline with an answerfile to install the tweaks that you need, then remove AP from the system. A free, open-source utility that you could use for this is Free Extractor, found athttp://www.disoriented.com/FreeExtractor/ All you would need to do is write a batch file to execute upon extraction to perform the above operations.

Thanks for the reply, sounds a little involved. I'll give it a little more time to see if there's an official response before considering other options.
